Students – It’s not too late to apply for scholarships for the 2013-2014 academic year. For consideration, visit https://www.collin.edu/foundation/scholapp/application.html and fill out an application before April 15.
In doing so, students have an opportunity to become beneficiaries of monies raised during the Collin College Foundation’s annual spring semester scholarship fundraiser, which faculty, staff and community members are encouraged to support.
Teams of eight will compete in a battle of Texas and Collin County trivia on Saturday, Feb. 23 during this year’s Collin College Lone Star themed scholarship fundraiser “Stetson and Stiletto Standoff.”
Beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the recently opened Spring Creek Campus library, this Texas chic evening will mark the first major event at this location and raise donations for student scholarships.
Individual tickets can be purchased for $125 and sponsorships begin at $2,500. Each sponsorship will result in a scholarship awarded in the event attendees’ name at the annual August 2013 Collin College scholarship banquet where sponsors will also have the opportunity to meet their student recipients.
