COLLIN COLLEGE GIVES KIDS A SMILE

Collin College students, graduates and faculty are working with other dentists to help put smiles on a children’s faces.

Through “Give Kids A Smile Day” on Jan. 18, Collin college partnered with members of the North Texas Dental Society, North Texas Hispanic Dental Association, MCCooper Dental Society, Healthy Smiles Children’s Dentistry and Baylor dental students.  The Give Kids A Smile program was originally started in 2003 as a way to provide dental services to underserved children.

Eighty patients were able to be seen and  children will now be contacted and referred to the offices of the doctors that have agreed to donate their dental services.

“As dental professionals, we are committed to providing the best care to our patients and extending our services to those in need whenever possible,” said Susan Moss, Collin College Dental Hygiene Director.
