NASA ENGINEER VISITS COLLEGE

Jerry Woodfill performing a musical number
In addition to telling a thrilling story about helping save the Apollo 13 crew, NASA Engineer Jerry Woodfill performed a musical number praising the uses of duct tape.

Jerry Woodfill, a Presidential Medal of Freedom winner and longtime NASA engineer, presented Thirteen Things that Saved Apollo 13 at an event sponsored by the Center for Advanced Study in Mathematics and Natural Sciences (CASMNS) and Collin College’s Robotics Club. Mr. Woodfill was a member of the mission operations team monitoring the Apollo 13 space flight when equipment malfunctions hobbled the spacecraft mid-mission. About 85 people attended the talk.
