Career Fair Connects Veterans and Employers

Sept. 11, 2018 – Collin College will host a Veterans Career Fair, 1-4 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 25 at the college’s Plano Campus Living Legends Conference Center, 2800 East Spring Creek Parkway. The event is free and open to the public, and dependents and spouses are invited to attend.

Dozens of employers motivated to hire former service members will provide employment information and conduct interviews.

According to Arianna Gray, Collin College assistant director of financial aid and veterans services, these employers recognize the value of military service in shaping productive, responsible employees.

“Veterans bring important skills and leadership abilities to the companies who hire them,” Gray said. “The employers at this career fair know that and are eager to meet our veterans.”

Employers attending the event include UPS, DART Police, Embassy Suites, Allies in Service, City of Allen, PepsiCo, FedEX, JP Morgan Chase, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, , McKinney Fire Department and Frisco Police Department.
