Nov. 13, 2018- THE ARTS gallery at Collin College is presenting a Student and Faculty Art Exhibition now-Monday, Dec. 3 at the Collin College Frisco Campus library, 9700 Wade Blvd. Visitors can view the artwork during library hours Monday-Thursday from 7:45 a.m.-9:45 p.m., Friday from 7:45 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m.

The exhibition will include a mixture of 2D and 3D art. Frisco Campus students in painting, drawing, sculpture and design classes will feature their best work, and their professors will display select professional pieces.

The Frisco Campus exhibition features both representational and non-objective works of art in a variety of media, according to Julie Shipp, Collin College professor of art, THE ARTS gallery director and president of Frisco Arts, a nonprofit organization committed to advancing the arts in Frisco.

“Student artwork is juxtaposed with works created by Frisco Campus art faculty members that are active in the art community, encouraging professional studio practices and giving acknowledgment to selected pieces created during the Fall 2018 Semester,” said Shipp. “The library installation demonstrates a range of subject matter from portraiture and still life to constructed imagery and landscapes, displaying the best work of each student.”
