Collin College President Dr. Neil Matkin (right) accepts the 2018 Leadership Award from Sanjiv Yajnik, president of Financial Services at Capital One and chairman of the Collin County Business Alliance (CCBA), at the CCBA’s 7th Annual Anniversary Luncheon Nov. 30.
The award is presented annually to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership in the Collin County area and made a difference in the community. All nominations are approved by the CCBA board of directors.
The luncheon also featured a panel discussion with area business leaders on the CCBA’s three areas of emphasis—water, education and transportation—and a conversation with Fareed Zakaria, best-selling author, Washington Post columnist and host of “Fareed Zakaria GPS” on CNN.
