The Collin County Business Alliance (CCBA) honored Dr. H. Neil Matkin, district president of Collin College, with its annual Leadership Award at the organization’s seventh anniversary luncheon in Plano.
Sanjiv Yajnik, president of financial services at Capital One and chairman of the CCBA, said Dr. Matkin has been an “incredible advocate for Collin County” and cited the growth of the college and the ambitious master plan currently underway as hallmarks of his leadership.
The CCBA Leadership Award is presented annually to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership in Collin County. Past winners of the award have included U.S. Rep. Sam Johnson, State Senator Florence Shapiro, and Dallas Mavericks General Manager Donnie Nelson.
The CCBA was formed in 2011 with the mission of making the county an even more vibrant place to live and work. A key objective of the alliance is to bring the business community together and serve as a catalyst for positive change.
