11 Collin College Athletes Named to Conference All-Academic Team

April 21, 2023 – Eleven Collin College student athletes have been named to the 2022-23 North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference (NTJCAC) All-Academic Team.

Collin College’s selections to the teams are:

Women’s Basketball – Caroline Rasmussen of Kongens Lyngby, Denmark

Men’s Basketball – Lav Cvetkovic of Novi Sad, Serbia; Jack Watkins of Decatur; Robbie Williams of Charleston, West Virginia

Women’s Tennis – Jhastine Red Ballado of Nueva Ecija, Philippines; Margaryta Bugaienko of Lviv, Ukraine; Mariel Camino of Monterrey, Mexico; Larissa Giraldi Correa of Sao Paulo, Brazil

Men’s Tennis – Djordje Kurcubic of Belgrade, Serbia; Gianni Lopez of Merida, Venezuela; Valentin Rivadeo of Cordoba, Argentina.

Each honoree has completed at least three semesters of college work with a minimum of 36 hours of courses that lead to a degree while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or greater. The student athletes participated in at least one season on the varsity level and lettered in their sports.

Collin College serves more than 57,000 credit and continuing education students annually and offers more than 100 degrees and certificates, including a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), a Bachelor of Applied Technology (BAT) in Cybersecurity, and a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Construction Management.
