Collin College Alumni Represent on Stage and Screen

Are you planning to visit New York to take in a Broadway show, drive to “Big D” to enjoy a touring Broadway show or to sink into the couch and flip on the TV? Regardless of the venue, you may be watching the talent of Collin College alumni without even realizing it. Here’s the latest on our stars of stage and screen.


Elizabeth Judd



Elizabeth Judd is performing in the Pulitzer-Prize-winning musical Hamilton.



Thomas LeGalley is the associate costume designer for Kinky Boots. His costume creations were also replicated for the national tour. LeGalley’s work was featured in several Broadway shows including Memphis, Shrek and Lysistrata Jones.

James Ortiz, who won an Obie for The Woodsman, created puppets for Hood which is set to go to Broadway soon, per This will be Ortiz’ Broadway debut. Ortiz also created puppets for an opera of Beauty and the Beast.


Brendan QuigleyBrendan Quigley is the production electrician on Wicked, the tenth longest running show in Broadway history.






Andrew Serna is the project coordinator/investor relations of Broadway’s A Bronc’s Tale the Musical, directed by Robert De Niro.


Akron Watson

Akron Watson will soon be performing in the musical version of The Secret Life of Bees which is slated to hit Broadway next season. Watson recently performed with Jennifer Hudson in the Tony-nominated The Color Purple on Broadway and in the Off Broadway show Hair to Hamilton: 50 Years of Revolutionary Musicals held at The Public Theater in New York.




Off Broadway

This summer, Brian J. Smith performed opposite Marcia Gay Harden in the Tennessee Williams’ play Sweet Bird of Youth at the Chichester Festival Theatre. Smith just finished his run as Will Gorski on Netflix’s Sense8.


National Tours of Broadway Shows

Clinton Greenspan is on a national tour of Aladdin. Greenspan is an understudy of the main character and an ensemble member.

Traci Lee, performing in the ensemble, is on a national tour of BEAUTIFUL, The Carole King musical.



Andy Bean plays Greg, one of the leads in the Starz series Power.

Cory Boulieris is the stage manager for NBC’s Hairspray Live. Recently, Boulieris was the stage manager for the Broadway shows He Loves Me and On Your Feet.

Gustavo Hernandez is playing Pedro Jimenez on Queen of the South.


Carter Hudson plays Teddy McDonald, the lead and a CIA operative in FX’s new series Snowfall.

Candace Patterson plays Iris West on The Flash on The CW.

Diane Perotta is a Los Angeles television producer. Her long list of shows includes NBC’s The Wall, ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, Spike’s Lip Sync Battle, Comedy Central’s Jeff Ross Presents Roast Battle, ABC’s Greatest Hits and Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance. Currently, she is also working on the pre-production of Showtime at the Apollo.

Jason Ralph plays the lead, Quentin, on The Magicians Syfy series.
