Collin College Hosts Resilience Workshop

Jan. 30, 2018- Free and open to the public, The Dignity Initiative will host The Resilience Workshop: Building Resilience in a Chaotic World this February at Collin College campuses. Sponsored by Counseling Services and the Collin Mindfulness Committee, this interactive workshop focuses on four aspects of resilience: physical, mental, emotional and social.

Learn about numerous techniques including breathing/yoga, mindfulness, meditation, effects of mindfulness and meditation on the brain, broaden and build theory, fixed versus growth mindset and positive psychology.

The workshop will be held on the following dates:

  • 6 – 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 13 at the Central Park Campus Conference Center, 2400 Community Avenue in McKinney
  • 6 – 8:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 15 at the Spring Creek Campus Living Legends Conference Center, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano
