2017-18 ROSE Award Nominees Announced

It is ROSE Award time again, and the yellow roses are in bloom at Collin College.

The All College Council announced its nominees for the Recognition of Service and Excellence (ROSE) awards in May. The award honors staff members who consistently demonstrate Collin College’s core values via service to the college, staff, students and/or the community. The ROSE Award is Collin’s highest staff recognition and is given to one full-time staff member and one part-time staff member. Staff members who are honored with a ROSE Award nomination are given a yellow rose as the symbol of the college’s founding.

This year’s nominees are:

Full-Time: Allene Nichole Boone, Carolyn Braswell, Deanna Brown, Deidra Carpenter, Sonia Castillo, Sandra Claborn, Donna Day, Andy Duckworth, Wilma Eckhoff, Abdullah Eren, Katherine Fitzgerald, Kristina Golway, Rosa Guerra, Jessica Haapala, James Hamilton, Dr. Kimberly Head, Nancy Huff, Kelle Kennemer, Renee Long, Meredith Martin, Jennifer McDermott, Michelle Millen, Paula Mills, Tom Mokake, Lisa Morman, Kenneth Neal, Alan Pixley, Judy Pyle, Sherry Scamardo, Jerry Sturdevant, Meredith Wang and Jennifer Wright.

Part-Time: Jillian Cyr, Karen Griffin, Amanda Lunn and Irma Santiago.

The All College Council will announce finalists for the ROSE Award at a special ceremony June 14.
