National Night Out Event Planned at Plano Campus

2018 National Night Out FlyerSeptember 20, 2018 – Join Collin College police officers and school officials for a night of community-building, safety awareness, food and fun, Tuesday, Oct. 2 from 6-9 p.m. at the Century Court Apartments, 5800 Jupiter Road in Plano. The event is free and open to the public.

This is the third year for the cookout at the apartments which abut the college’s Plano Campus, although the Collin College Police Department has been involved in the National Night Out movement for several years. Organizers say the event is a good opportunity to get to know your neighbors and the officers who protect the area.

“We are having hamburgers, hot dogs and music,” Sgt. Donald Mewbourn said. “It’s a pretty laid back environment and a chance to meet each other.”
