Sept. 20, 2018- THE ARTS gallery at Collin College will host “A Delicate Nature,” a faculty solo exhibition created by Elizabeth Mellott, Collin College photography professor, from Wednesday, Oct. 3- Friday, Oct. 26. 

Collin College Photography professor, Elizabeth MellottMellot teaches photography and book arts at the college’s Plano Campus. As an artist, she seamlessly crosses boundaries, incorporating a mixture of mediums.  While the majority of her work is alternative and sculptural, with an emphasis on photography, conceptually she creates art pertaining to social concerns. Mellot’s current project examines our role as stewards of the environment. Her work has been exhibited internationally, and her pieces are housed in several collections including the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, the Harry Ransom Center in Austin and the Center for Creative Photography in Tucson, Arizona.

A free reception will be held from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 4 at THE ARTS gallery. The gallery is located on Collin College’s Plano Campus, room A175, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway. Regular gallery hours are: 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Monday-Thursday; 9 a.m-3 p.m., Friday-Saturday.
