January 23, 2019 – Collin College’s Auteur Film Series will screen In the Heat of The Night on Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. at Collin College’s Frisco Campus Conference Center. The screening is free and open to the public.
Released in 1967, In the Heat of the Night follows Philadelphia Detective Virgil Tibbs, played by Sidney Poitier, as he investigates a murder in a small, racially-charged Mississippi town. Doors open 30 minutes before the film begins, and seating is limited. Some material may not be suitable for all audiences. Each film will be followed by a panel discussion led by Collin College faculty and staff.
