Entries Welcomed for Student Research Conference

February 4, 2019 – Entries are now being accepted for the 10th Annual Undergraduate Interdisciplinary Student Research Conference (UISRC) at Collin College. Top research projects will be awarded scholarships and will have an opportunity to present at the conference in April. The deadline for entry is March 1, 2019.

As the name suggests, the Undergraduate Interdisciplinary Student Research Conference accepts research work from all disciplines and is open to all college students. Past participants have included students from Southern Methodist University, New York University, The University of Texas and other schools, in addition to entries by Collin College students.

Through their participation, students learn the processes involved in writing and presenting original research, a skill that will benefit them if they pursue advanced academic degrees. If chosen as one of the top research projects, students will be invited to present their work at the conference, April 24 at Collin College’s Plano Campus. Four Collin College scholarships of $1,250 also will be awarded for top projects.
