Constitution Day Event Planned at Collin College

Sept. 11, 2019 – On Sept. 17, 1787, the United States Constitution was signed by 39 of the 55 delegates attending the constitutional convention in Philadelphia.

On Sept. 17 of this year, Collin College will join the nation in celebrating this important founding document with an event called “America Divided: The Left, The Right, Trumpism, and the Contemporary Political Landscape” at 11:30 a.m. at the conference center at the McKinney Campus (Central Park), 2200 W. University Drive.

Dr. David Azerrad, director of the B. Kenneth Simon Center for Principles and Politics at the Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C., will speak and analyze the major fault lines on both the “left” and the “right” in contemporary American politics.
