March 29, 2019 – Take a 40-year journey through the images of artist, photo­grapher, teacher and author, Henry Horenstein, on Wednesday, April 10, 7 p.m. in room C-104 at Collin College’s Plano Campus. Admission is free and open to the public.

Horenstein has published more than 30 books, including the classic textbooks: Black and White Photography, Beyond Basic Photography, Digital Photography and Make Better Pictures. His monographs include Racing Days, Animalia, Humans, Show and Close Relations. His most recent updated edition of Honky Tonk: Portraits of Country Music will feature in his lecture.

Horenstein, a professor of photography at Rhode Island School of Design, will discuss his life and work during the past 40 years, highlighting through images his early interest in history and how it has impacted his photography. A question-and-answer session will follow. The lecture is sponsored by the Photography Department at Collin College.
